[Sword Art Online Arc]: The Eternal Saga

A fifth man stood in front of Kane and held his sword between Kane and Akimoto. "Do not tread any further." He stated.

"Listen. Take my sword, and my cloak. Both are rare and unique items. But I swear if you kill him, you and every single one of your idiotic, barbarian men will die to the hands of me. And me alone." He said, his eyes darting from face to face.

"The Death Bringers do not accept death, they just bring others to it." The man stated. "Fall in!" He shouted to the others, he stabbed his sword back into Kane's stomach causing Akimoto to raise his eyes in surprise and shock. The other 4 men stabbed Kane in the head, neck, upper and lower back. Yet Kane stood there as if he was unphased, the swords were inside him and he still had the sly smile on his face. His health looked as if nothing happened to him.

Akimoto walked over to them, he looked at Kane with a grin as he stood there. He simply slid his sword back into his holster and stood there, looking at them. He let out a small laugh at their struggle.

Akimoto was still a few yards away from Kane. The players that attacked Kane looked shocked. They took their swords and kept slashing at him, a few others joined it while the rest watched. Kane's health would go down a few inches and then sky rocket up to 100% again after every couple of hits.

Akimoto yawned as he leaned against a nearby tree, a few of the men began to get tired.

Kane turned his head and noticed the rest of the players start to get their weapons and try to attack. He noticed the Man that Akimoto had fought standing as well, his sword unsheathed. He started to speak. "Well well well, at least now I get to see the true skills of the Midnight Swordsman. Death Bringers, bring them to their deaths!" He shouted as the Death Bringers started to charge Kane and Akimoto, there were at least 80 or 90 of these players. Kane looked at Akimoto and nodded. He narrowed his sly smile and unsheathed his primary sword, the Illuminator.

Akimoto began slicing and stabbing, each person he hit got down to about five percent. He barely even moved, they all charged at him and then fell off to the side, nearly dead. He simply just sliced. Each person nearly dead, but not completely.

Kane used his sword to attack a few others as well. Although it appeared as though the majority of the players were coming after him instead of Akimoto. He grit his teeth as they started to dog pile on him. He quickly opened his menu and scrolled to the weapons section just as the players crushed down on top of him. There was no movment from Kane for a while until he burst out from the pile sending players off in several directions. He stood there and held two swords in his hand. The Illuminator in his right hand, it was in front of his body, and The Manipulator, he held that above his head as he stared at the oncoming players.

The Man rose his eyes. "A dual wielder?" He muttered out loud.

Akimoto said that at the exact same time as the man did. He stared at Kane in awe.

The Death Bringers wouldn't give up, they continued to attack Akimoto and Kane. Kane swung his dual swords and took out a whole horde of the players, only a few left. He spun the swords in his hands and flipped them as he took out the last remaining players.

He and Akimoto looked at The Man, who was standing there clapping.

"We nearly killed every single one of your men. And you're clapping?" Akimoto said, sheathing his sword as he walked over near Kane. He was clearly irritated. By who, it was unsure.

"I'm clapping at how close you brought them to their deaths." The Man stopped clapping. "As you know, I am the Guild Master of The Death Bringers, a new yet rising group of players. My name is Sakurai Hado. You two are great fighters, would you care to join?" All while saying this, he opened up a part of his cloak and took out a small blue crystal. A teleporting crystal.

Kane still stood in a pose as if he was about to fight, he held his swords in each hand, which were at his side. He didn't say a word, he just looked at Akimoto.

" No." Akimoto said coldly. "You'd be wise to use that teleportation crystal and get the fuck out of here before I unsheathe my sword." As he said this he looked at the man, his face twisted into a look of hatred. He then slowly began to raise his hand, towards his sword.

Sakurai shrugged his shoulders. "Very well. You all will have to face death some day." He flexed his hand and crushed the crystal in his hand. His body, as well as the other Death Bringers, shattered into shards and shot into the sky leaving Kane and Akimoto alone.

Kane stared in the sky as the players teleported away. He lifted his swords and sheathed both of them on his back in an 'X' shape.

"What the HELL?!" Akimoto yelled, turning to Kane. "You didn't bother to tell me you were a fucking dual wielder?!" He yelled again, a slight hint of a laugh in his voice.

Kane tilted his face towards Akimoto. "What if word leaked out?" He said it sharply, in a tone he wouldn't normally speak. "You know how players feel around me, they all know I'm a Beater. Could you imagine how they would feel if they figure out I was the Midnight Swordsman, and on top of that, a Dual Wielder?"

"Why give a shit? You'd beat the hell out of everyone anyway." Akimoto said, shrugging his shoulders. "We should get to the nearest town for the night. It's not safe out here after dark." He said and turned to begin walking.

Akimoto didn't hear footsteps behind him as he walked, all he heard as Kane say, "Wait".

Akimoto stopped and turned around, he saw Kane looking his way with his hand out, his fingers pointed out at him.

"What?" Akimoto asked, raising an eyebrow at Kane.

Kane turned his body so he was completely facing Akimoto. "You're not in a guild, right?" He had a smile on his face.

Timeskip

A few days later, Floor 28 had recently been opened up by Kane, Akimoto, and the Floor Clearing Police Guild. Kane walked into Maeko's restaurant on the previous floor, Floor 27. He was going to meet Akimoto there.

Akimoto walked out of the back room, his hair a mess and his clothes just now being put on properly. "Sorry, slept in a little bit later than I meant to." He stated as he buttoned his cloak. Maeko walked out shortly after, smiling and greeting Kane.

Kane sat at the bar. "Have you seen Kisho, Yin, or Yang around lately?" He asked, he was scrolling through his menu. He opened up his friends list and there was a tab for the guild he was in. He opened it up, the guild was named "The Eternal Keepers" with Kane as the Leader, the only member in it was Akimoto so far. They were trying to recruit their friends into the guild.

"I haven't. Honestly, I haven't seen any of them since the last time we were all in here. Well, everyone but Kisho. That's odd, they're not...?" Akimoto trailed off as he sat down next to Kane at the bar.

Maeko brought out two cups of coffee, along with one for herself.
