Battle for the Trost District Arc: "Dawn of the End"

Orion quickly picks Frederick up, landing on a building

Frederick stood back. He and Orion watched the 8m titan fall to the streets followed by Martin who grappled onto the building afterwards. "There are too many of these monsters, any word on how the others are?" He asked Orion. Frederick tapped his gear and it worked just fine once again. He hadn't seen anyone around the district except for Orion, Frederick, and Annabelle who passed him earlier.

Markus and Caroline flipped and zoomed through the streets, taking down titans left and right. "We need to find the others, I'm almost out of gas." He said, slowing down to reserve energy. He looked to his left, just as another titan swung at another. "What the fuck..." He said, stopping on a roof to watch.

Caroline stopped too, standing next to Markus. Mesmerized.

Chadwick and Annabelle were nearby. They also noticed the titan swing. "Forget about it, We have to keep moving, I saw people over there, they'll deal with that titan." He called back to Annabelle. He took a slice and killed a grey haired 10m titan before landing on a roof next to Annabelle.

"You're low on gas, you need to conserve it." Annabelle stated sounding concerned.

Chadwick nodded. He took a minute to look around until he saw a 15 meter titan standing a few streets over. He caught a glimpse of it just as it swallowed a kid who Chadwick recognized to be Timothy. A close friend who Chadwick met a while ago, Timothy was in his class back when he and the others were in the 104th Trainees squad. Chadwick's facial expression lowered. He squeezed his hand and his 3D grapples shot out towards a small clock tower. His body lurched forward. "Wait!" Annabelle called out. "You'll run out of gas!" Her shouts echoed throughout the wind as Chadwick was already long gone. He hopped off a clock tower and landed on a rooftop. All he had to do was run along the edge towards the titan until he got close enough to attack it. He did so and sliced the titan's nape as he passed, blood splattered up from his blades getting onto his uniform. He grappled onto a nearby roof only to fall to the ground that stood a few feet below. He had run out of gas.

Markus notice Chawick fall. "Caroline, go to Annabelle and help her. I'll go get Chawick!" He yelled, over the fighting titan's loud screams. He shot his grapple onto the roof Chadwick had fallen off of, he landed on the roof and then jumped, shooting a grapple into the building beside, and then turning to land next to Eren. (Like what's her face did in episode 24, to land next to the female titan* He helped Chadwick.

Chadwick stood up and popped his blades off of his holster. He turned around. "Rally everyone up as best as you can, Get them all to the secondary castle located out of the district." He set his holsters into his side boxes and loaded new blades. "I'll meet up with you later." He ran off down the street in a sprint before Markus could argue.

Sarah ran along a rooftop, she watched as a titan started attacking other titans. She covered her ears as soon as it roared.

Martin looked down off of a rooftop a few minutes later. He noticed Chadwick sprinting down the street with his blades out behind him. "Stafford! What are you doing?" He shouted down.

Chadwick didn't turn his head, he shouted back. "Just forget about me, get to the secondary castle outside the district!" He soon disappeared out of sight. Martin grit his teeth and shook his head, he squeezed his hands and shot towards the wall which was a longways away.

"Go damn it Chadwick!" Markus yelled, echoing down the empty street. He hesitated whether to chase after him or locate everyone else, after a moment of gritted teeth he shot his grapple into a near by chimney and then flew away.

Frederick sat on a rooftop in the middle of the district. Titans walked around as he sat next t Katherine.
Frederick wiped his nose and muffled, "They're all dead, I know they're dead."

"No we're not." Markus gave a slight smile as he, Caroline, Annabelle, Orion, Axel, Martin and Sarah all landed on the roof next to them. "We need to go there." Markus said, pointing at the small castle Chadwick had told him to go to, with his sword.

Sarah stepped forward. "I suppose Chadwick told you to head there." She popped her blades off her holster, She then looked around and noticed more titans streaming into the district, if it kept up, they'd breach Wall Rose soon too. "We mustn't waste any time, let's go!" She stated and shot off the roof with her gear, Martin followed after and so did everyone else.

Markus did a flip in the air, as he passed a titan. He held one blade out as he flipped over a titans head, slicing the nape as he continued to go. He landed on the castle and waited for the others. "ALRIGHT. Listen up. Now that Chadwick is out there doing god knows what, I'm in charge. We need get more gas as soon as possible, and defeat as many titans as we can. To try our best at keeping the rate of the down. Now as most of you, or likely all of you have seen the fighting titan, we have an supposed titan ally. Do not get too close however, we do not know how it will react."

Annabelle nodded, she turned her head and saw two 15m titans fall onto the ground on a nearby street. Sarah hopped off of one of their heads doing a front flip and spinning in the air. She held her blades out and dropped down slicing the nape of a 7m titan where she then caught herself with her gear and landed on a nearby roof.

"Damn." Martin muttered out loud. He turned his head to hardly see any titans near the castle, although some were nearing.

A 10m Titan was sprinting towards Markus as he turned his head. The titan fell as Orion walked on his head, jumping off

"Caroline, you and Annabelle take the west part of the city. Axel and Fred, take the East. Sarah, Martin take the North. Me and Orion will take the south, where the hole is." Markus said, he gave Caroline a quick kiss as good luck, and then shot his 3D maneuver gear into a nearby roof, flying off of the castle and towards the hole.

Orion Followed Markus (☞ﾟ∀ﾟ)☞ // Axel head to the East

" If Chadwick dies. The Brigader force will be no more, they see him as leader. So be ready, to join the survey corps." Markus said, his teeth gritted, holding back tears from the thought of loosing his best friend. "15 meter, on your left." He said, then took off to his right, killing a ten meter titan.

Chadwick sprint down a street, a 3m titan wasn't far behind. He sprinted around a corner hoping to lose it just as he caught sight of an abandoned gas tank down the street. He sprinted to it only to have it cut off by the sight of a titan's foot. "Shit!" He thought in his mind. He knew he would get caught. Trying to think of a way, Chadwick could only sprint at the titan's foot blocking him and the gas tank while the 3m titan caught sight of him and walked towards him.

At the castle, Sarah noticed Titans clearing. They were all pushed to the lower end of the district. A Garrison soldier came out onto the roof of the castle and shot a black flare telling every soldier to get inside the castle for a plan.

A 15 meter titan picked up a soldier, right before he was about to put him in his mouth, Markus shot a grapple into the back of a chimney, flying behind it. He sliced it's nape and nodded to the soldier before shooting towards the castle.

A few minutes passed and only 15 or so soldiers were inside the castle. 3 of them were Garrison soldiers, 3 of them were random graduates, and the other 9 were the remaining of the top 10.

Frederick looked around the room. "Where's Chadwick?" He asked.

"Who knows." Markus said, looking at the floor. He was dreading the worst, Chadwick had died and he didn't stop him. He wiped his eyes from the swelling tears and turned away from everyone.

Caroline walked over to him, putting her arms around his neck and laying her head on his shoulder. "He'll be alright." She whispered, barely believing her own words.

The Garrison soldiers called order to the room. One of them stood up on a podium and took a deep breath. "Today, we all did well, guarding Wall Rose and killing titans within the district. However, more are entering the district than we can kill. Commander Dot Pixis has orders us to get all remaining soldiers in the district into Wall Rose where a plan to take the district back will be developed."

Martin looked up at the soldier. "Wait!" He called out. "I heard the Garrison keeps record of deaths just like the other divisions, Could you name us who you know who was lost today?" He asked hoping it wasn't too far fetched.

The soldier reached in his pocket and pulled out a folded paper. "If you really wish.. First one we claimed dead, Timothy Trenton." He kept reading lists until he crumbled the paper and stashed it in my pocket. "There was one soldier we haven't come to a conclusion where he's dead or alive. However, it's most likely that he is dead." He stated wondering if any of them would ask who it was.

Orion and Axel entered the scene "Sorry we took so long, We were stopped multiple times" Orion said, walking up to the group

"Chadwick?" Markus said, a cold and deep tone in his voice. He stood up and walked over to the soldier, being at least four inches taller than him he grabbed his collar and lifted him two inches off the ground." He's not dead. Chadwick isn't that Fucking stupid." He growled, anger in his eyes.
